“The refrain, is a woman, a man, and their loving social and professional territory, overwlehmed by a change of place and the birth of a child. Nolwenn Brod observes, without really reporting it, but rather by making tensions, variation of feelings, of seasons tangible. Men, animals, plants and mineral merge and answer each other. Her photographs call almost tactile sensations — such as gentle touch or embrace — and they spread ambivalent emotions. Her images works as oxymorons : coincidences of exultation and animosity, animality and spirituality, gentleness and some wound, some restraint and shamelessness. “(…)
