In 2010, I decided to discover and photograph a Central or Eastern European country recently admitted into the European Union. The only condition was to find a host family to establish closer bonds and discover the country from within. Luckily, a Romanian family invited me into their home! Since then, I have travelled each year to Romania, mostly in the Moldavian province. 
My photographic approach is documentary, but the use of a more suggestive narrative allows
Noroc
to stand midway between the documentary and the tale.
