This series explores the impact that propaganda had on a population’s collective consciousness through the lens of found photographs from China’s Cultural Revolution (1966-1977). By using the color red to replace any pre-existing propaganda within the photographs, I hope to make the point of how a government and its political movement had changed the visual narrative and history of China.
